Actually they do... take your browser and shorten the height and make the
width as big as you can... you'll see it doing the same thing.

What I don't get is why the letters coming in/going out horizontally
don't do the same thing (don't show up on the light green, but just
in the dk. green area), while the vertical letters and leaves do show
up on the light green. That can't all be due to the scaling, right?
