I don't think anyone is knocking Fullscreen in itself, just the uses that we
have seen so far. Your uses sound like great examples of how it could be
used. And if the user is expecting it then that, to me at any rate, seems to
mean the world of difference between Fullscreen acceptance and
non-acceptance. And by the user expecting, I mean being given a choice or
expecting that because of the application it deserves to be full screen.

Dear Flashers:

Setting a movie fullscreen is sometimes required. For instance I use full
screen flash movies to control a user view for images, like an F-18 Heads up
display (HUD) or a FAA terminal screen. so just because someone used it in
their application to show off their dog spot, we as developers still should
provide the information to them without all the flak!!!

Full-screen is played. There are better ways to make sure people don't
return to your site...
