FLASH: Movie clip (button) can't see label on main timeline

My button that is inside a movie clip cannot see the

label on the main timeline.  I'm sure this has

something to do with the target but I just can't

figure this one out as it's a button within a movie

clip outside the main timeline.


Is there a quick way to make sure it looks at the

default or main timeline by using a "/" or something? 

Do I have to use the Tell Target command within the

button action?


Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!
