Subject: FLASH: Doodle Bug Challenge
From: Ronnie Sampson

Flashers,

No, it's not a new virus. I was just thinking about a game my brother
and I used to play as kids. We called it Doodle Bug and the idea is
that one draws a scribble and describes an image and the other has to
take that scribble and, without altering it much, turn it into the
described image.

I've used the game in drawing classes that I've taught, and I thought
it'd be fun to try it as a sort of Flash challenge. So if anyone's up
for it, I'd like to try to do one each week for the next several
weeks. If you could send me an FLA file with a line scribble and a
description of what it should be, I'll choose one each week and
create a short Flash animation out of it. Then I'll post that
animation to my website along with my thanks to the scribbler.

There's nothing more to it than that, really. Just seemed like a fun
idea (for me). The only rules (restrictions) are that the scribble
must be a single color. I can change the scale of the doodle to fit
the format. Currently, I'm thinking about 350 x 300 for the animation
size. I must use the whole doodle in the final piece. I won't
entertain ideas that I consider crude or offensive. And again, this
is all for fun. There are no prizes or rewards.

So if you're interested, please do not use the reply address to send
your doodles. Instead, send them to me at ViridianRSatnetscape [dot] net.
I'll be happy to send doodles to anyone else interested in joining
in. Looking forward to hearing from you. Offer ends soon. Not
available in other listserves.
