FLASH: flash movie activate another movie in different frames

I am wondering if its possible to have two independent flash movies...one in

a top frame and another in a navigation frame right below on the left where

once the top flash movie reaches a certain frame, the flash movie in the

lower left frame will play.  I want to create an effect where a line or an

object from one flash movie...animates across another without giving the

effect that there are two different flash movies.  If anyone can offer any

suggestions, would greatly appreciate it.
