you can do quite a few things with flash \ generator for the palm platform,

and even phones. even more now that the nokia wml studio for dreamweaver

and wbmp for fireworks is out.


- using generator you can create dynamic content with and for a service

called avantgo...here's an example i made:

- also along those same lines, content for mobile devices...here's wml, and

granted, we're not playing flash on this, yet...but what's great about

using flash \ generator \ ultradev \ dreamweaver \ fireworks for all this

is as the devices become more suited for what's on the web (and they are),

flash being one of the most popular formats...you won't need to re-author

your content...for example with avantgo, you just specify type=gif with

generator to get a static gif...when palms support flash or when other

devices support the swf format (and trust me there's quite a few i can't

talk about, ndas and such) the large flash developer base will be authoring

quite a bit for the mobile world...


devices, set top devices, appliances, cars....all sorts of interesting

things ahead...i'm giving a talk about macromedia flash \ generator and

such at flashforward 2000 in nyc....should be fun.
