Is it possible to move a mask in any way (script or drag)? I couldn't do
that with actionscripting. I put a bitmap on a layer and then I created a
mask for that layer. The mask consisted in a movie clip (a rectangle in
fact, declared as an MC since MCs are the only symbols that can be
scripted), which I tried to move via actionscripting, but the bloody thing
wouldn't move at all. As soon as I unchecked the "mask" option, and the
rectangle MC was a mere symbol above my bitmap, I could move it anyway I
wanted. If any of you knows a way of moving objects that are used as masks
(apart from motion tweening), enlighten me too, please.

The only way I found to simulate the "x-ray" effect was to move the whole
movie clip (the one containing both the mask and the masked image), while
sliding the masked bitmap from underneath its mask, too. So now, when I move
the MC containing both the mask and the masked bitmap say 10 px to the
right, I move the masked bitmap 10 px in the opposite direction, to keep it
in its original place (above the car's image in lexus' case). BTW, how come
you can actionscript a masked object but not its mask?
