What email program is your friend using and what attachment format does he
have set? For example, I'm using Outlook Express and it offers Base64
(MIME), AppleDouble, UUEncode, BinHex, or None (No Encoding). If he has that
option, tell him to try "None" and see if that helps, or one of the others -
at least make sure it's not an apple format. (From OE, you chance this under
Edit -> Preferences -> Message Composition.)
