I just remembered one other way you can get the error   "Error creating Flash player movie file. Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive." when testing a scene:


Be sure your SCENE NAME doesn't contain any invalid characters (\ or : being the most common).  Flash creates a temporary SWF with the name of your scene and .SWF appended.  If you have given your scene a name like "Intro:Page 1" or "C:\BOGUS"  you'll get the error message referred to above when attempting to use Control > Test Scene to view the scene.
