In addition to the info from John and David, some other notes:

-- iMacs play Flash just great... matter of fact, you'll find that the
Flash 3 and Shockwave 6.01 players are preinstalled into both the Netscape
and Microsoft browsers on those machines. (I use an iMac at home right
now.)

-- You might be asking about a single site, that isn't configured for MIME
info... including the usual one-or-all-sites discriminator in any post sent
to thousands can help clear these ambiguities.

-- Including the basic info about what browser you're using can help
too... for instance, the description above could be achieved by using
IE4/Mac on a site which uses JavaScript for browser-detection. (As
discussed on this list before, IE/Mac cannot tell JavaScript its plugins.)

There could be a couple of ways to achieve problems, but trying more than
one site, in more than one browser, could be a good way to find out what
the actual problem might be.
