Hi Arlen,


First what type of images are you importing? Are they photos,

vectors, line art, etc.?


I'll take a stab at it anyway.


If the images are photos: I have found that you're better off importing

them as 8-bit (256 color) BMP files (*.bmp files for Windows users,

not sure about Macs). If you keep the image size reasonably small, 

you shouldn't have a problem. 


If the images are vectors: You can try importing as BMP, but you might

also want to try converting them to Illustrator (*.ai or *.eps). I

recently got tried of using Flash's creation tools and purchased 

Freehand 8. Freehand has a much better set of tools and you can 

export in the native *.swf file.
