In answer to your question is Yes.


Flash 4 has new features Load Variables and the Send variables option

(for Get URL and Load Variable) which allow round trip access to a

server side page such as CGI, ASP, PHP or Cold Fusion.

Data can be sent to the server side page using Send variables using

either the POST oe GET. The server side page can then query a database

and this info can then be picked up from that server side page (with

Load Variables).


A single statement combining Send Variables with Load variables will

initiate a round trip server side communication:

Load Variables("http://FlashBible.com/data.asp",0,vars=POST)
