Hey Gavin,
I'm not sure if I understand, but it sounds like you may be mixing
load/unload movie with regular layers in the main timeline as well as
properties of a button (as far as I know, you can only set properties
of instanced movie clips) Either way, you can still get it to work
though.

You can set the visibility of an instanced movie clip to 0, but not a
button. If you want to set a button's visibility to 0, you could
have it in a separate movie and use the load/unload movie to show or
hide it. If you use this method, you will also have to have the wall
in a movie and load it into a layer above the button.

Another option would be to have the first ball be a movie clip and
not a button. Using an invisible button, you can track the keypress
and avoid use of load/unload. Once you have all the balls as
instanced movie clips, setting their visibility properties to 0 and
x and y position properties should be a snap.

If anyone sees any error in this thinking, then please correct me.

Good luck,
Court
