FLASH: hello from new member; prob importing files

I've just joined the ranks of Flash users; my name is James Poulakos.


It'd be better if I knew why Flash 4 [PC], upon importing a QuickTime [QT4

sorenson, cinepak or video] or JPG the *2nd* time in a session, refuses to

recognize it. Instead, it says, "This file type is not recognized.... Would

you like to try using another application to insert the file as an embedded

object? If no other application understands this file type, the file will

appear as an icon."


Why do you reckon this is happening? Is there something I can troubleshoot?

Is this happening to anyone else?
