hi Erich,
Tracing a bitmap is done by a flash command. Once you import the bitmap,
click on the image, then choose from the menu Modify-----> trace bitmap.
Sometimes it not worth tracing them though. The vector versions of traced
bitmap can end up bigger than the original bitmap. If your on a computer
like mine (slow processor) Flash will crash or if you're lucky not crash,
it will take forever to trace, turn to a symbol and move around on the
screen. *sigh* I really need to upgrade.
I only trace small bitmaps but unless I'm doing something wrong, even after
i trace the bitmaps when I enlarge the vector version, i still see the pixels.
What works best for me is importing a bitmap, turning it to a guide layer,
locking it, then painstakingly hand trace the image and use flash fills to
duplicate the image as close as possible.
