SPL was the extension for FutureSplash and Flash 1. There is no longer
any difference in exported file in the two formats. The only concern is
to make sure the MIME is set for Flash and not just FutureSplash before
you change the files to SWFs.

In Flash 2 there was a small difference that was slightly better for the
original Web TV box with the original software.
