Hi Mike,
How are you. Thanks for helping me out. I am interested in your consulting
help.
Can you e-mail your rates please. I would like the swf to load and cache and
then
load the template on top so both are visible or something else that works.
I tried some load movie ides but it just ain't working.
http://www.fantasyteam.com
is the one without generator.
Thanks,
Larry

Larry,
No an SWT is designed specifically not to cache. It is basically an SWF with
an altered HTTP header.
To avoid this you need to ascertain whether each user has to pull this SWT
form the server using Generators Online function or if it is updated on a
scheduled basis via the Offline process.
If you are still not to sure check out FlashGen.Com there is a section on
Online and Offline - Although written for G1 the syntax and methodology are
still the same.
We do offer a consultancy service for specific projects if you are still
having problems.
Thanx

Hi all,
I need some generator help please.
My Flash4 authored SWF (exported as a Flash3 SWF)movie caches nicely so that
the intro
gets bypassed on the second visit. But now that I've placed a generator2
object in it
and exported it as a SWT the entire movie gets reloaded on every visit. This
is really
bad because the site gets alot of 'back to home page' clicks. This seems to
be forcing
the surfer to download the entire 285 KB movie again. Does a SWT not allow
caching.
I am getting nowhere with this problem for days. No one on the Generator
newsgroup
has responded to my query in 5 days and there is no way we can afford the
$200 US/per hour support call. We paid over $5,000 cdn dollars for the
program and
recieved a wafer thin 80 page 'hello' manual that tells me squat. Too bad
Macromedia
forgot to include the official ouija board. I'll just have to pray.
Thanks for any help.
Larry
