Subject: | FLASH: Cache Advantages |

Here's an interesting thought/question.
I've noticed that if you download a flash movie with
variables after it (filename.swf?title=abc&size=800&etc), and those
variables change, then Netscape would re-download the flash file. I
was hopign to take advantage of the cache, but this is not the case.
So, how can I have, for example, a row of buttons, that changes
dynamically depending on the page you are on with a variable
communicating to it that page without reloading the movie,
essentially pulling it from the cache.
Would a VERY small flash file that does a LOAD MOVIE, would
this achieve it?
Could I have the flash movie refence my variables using FS
Command or Load Variables via Javascript?
A LoadMovie to a CGI is not an option because I would need a
variable to send it which page I'm on which defeats the purpose of
this question
What do you guys think?
