FLASH: action >> to follow mouse

Hi any one who may be able to help


there are afew sites around at the mo

where a background image will flow to the left

>> if the user moves their mouse to the left


and  will flow to the right

>> if the user moves their mouse to the right


i am presuming that there is some large sort of formula that will moke this

>> move ment slow if the mouse is in the center of the screen...


 or speed up if the mouse is out to one side


Its seems to me that the mouse postion  has to be tracked...


CAN ANYONE help me out on either of these CONCEPTS ???


or at least point me in the right direction
