The only way I can think of doing that is using techniques other than
flash with flash being the "interface" and some scripting in the
background requesting files/information from your servers over the web.

Its an interesting idea but you would definitley save yourself a lot of
trouble if you kept all the processing files on a web server and only
the front end html and media on the cd.

Subject: FLASH: Flash db on cd-rom?

I'm looking to create a dynamically-generated, database depended, web
and
CD-ROM based project that can be easily updated. Specifically, I'd like
to
be able to generate client-side browser pages that will have been
generated
by user-specific input.

Ex: User fills in information on an initial form page and, based upon
their
responses, receives back a user-specific, graphically-oriented training
course with pull-down menus containing topics that were also
user-generated.

Basically, I'd like to discover a way to place this dynamically-driven
content ENTIRELY on a stand-alone CD-ROM -- WITHOUT web database
connection
(i.e: "database" contained ON CD-ROM).

Can this be done some way with either FLASH or FLASH GENERATOR?

Thanks in advance,
M. Gerich
