Yes, Director 7.0.2 has an undocumented stage mask command of some sort. 

You can see it in use with shockmachine and the shockwave remote (which 

supports wildly irregular shaped skins). You can point to a 1 bit member 

in the cast to create a window that is donut-shaped, for example.


I haven't used it, and it only works for projectors, someone else here 

might have more info...
