Subject: FLASH: alpha gradient layer mask
From: James De Jesus

I don't know is this is a bug or I'm doing this wrong.

To simulate a wave moving through the stage, I have the wave sitting on
the stage in a layer. On the mask layer I have a rectangle that has a
fill that's "feathered" on the edges to transparent that moves across the
wave layer.

The feathered rectangle doesn't feather the opacity of the wave when it
moves over. Instead you see a hard edge as the mask moves over.

Bug or no?

james
