You need to put a rectangle behind your text, and then make the
rectangle transparent (set Alpha to 0%). This way, the hot spot will
include the area around the text, not just the letters themselves.

New to Flash. Working on first business site. I have a button that is
made
of text only. I understand the "hotspot" for the button is the text
itself. Is there a way to make the text not "jump" on mouseover as
the
cursor may not be exactly on the text when the text enlarges?
The example is at:
http://www.villagesmokeshoppe.com/smoke.html The button on the
bottom left
that says: "Click me..."
Any comments or criticism are also welcomed. Thanks for the help.
