Hi Lincoln,
I would convert the scenes to movie clips so that tell targeting would
work easily. Your problem highlights one of the main reasons not to use
scenes. There are work arounds that I have heard of, but, as I avoid the
use of scenes in any interactive piece I do, I cannot guarantee that
they work from personal experience. The work around I heard mentioned
involved having your target be a frame label in the other scene. You
would have to type in the frame label because it would not be available
from the drop down menu as the labeled frame is in another scene. I have
also heard people mention using load movie to solve this problem of
cross scene communication but I see that as a very cumbersome solution
to a simple problem.
If you are using this cross scene communication as a major part of your
navigation structure this work-around could rapidly become bothersome.
My best advice would be to change your scenes to movie clips.
