Subject: FLASH: to see a file online?
From: marco berti

Hi,
I'm Marco,
I have a few (probably simple for most of you) questions about the "world of
download".
I have a movie made in flash4 and it contains a button for downloading a
file. Now, first, I don't know if the file will be .exe or .mov, anyway I'm
going to zip it so when I click on the button (action: get url) the download
would start. Is this correct? And then, what if I would see the same file
online? I mean without downloading it to my computer.
I'm thinking to something like QT file's streaming. Should I have to export
my file in QT? Then is there an action instead of "get url" to be assigned
to the button?
And, at last, are ther any differences between Mac and PC? I know that
there's a different format from zip, for Macs, that's ok, but the rest of
the process would be the same?
Thank you in advance,
Marco
