Subject: FLASH: hit counter on flasher site--best way?

hello flasher community..

Alright, here's my dilemma: I need a hit counter in a flasher site I am building. --but I want it to work with browsers with the flash 3 plug-in

I have been contemplating using a CGI to keep the count but I haven't been able to find one that only brings back a text string so I can use the fscommand with it.

are there other ways in going about this???

If you were me, and were not being paid for this (so you weren't planning on paying somebody for a CGI) what would you do???

(If you are curious the site is http://african.lss.wisc.edu --feel free to critique it off lst as well as on list)

any tips would be great.

thanks in advance,
from just a guy trying to REALLY learn flash,
Juan Ulloa
