i know your question is focussed at Brandon, but i think i can answer your
question. to give you a quick answer... lets say you have a circle with the
gradient in it that is translucent in nature giving the appearance of a
translucent sphere. ok.. we have established that. next... put a movie clip
within this sphere movie clip . make this movie clip a single frame that has
the same size circle with a grey/alpha color, and lay this movie clip ontop
of the sphere graphic, but within the sphere movie clip. And basically
depending on what you want to do you Tell Target to that gradient circle MC
and adjust the alpha of it depending on mouse movement/ location etc.....
this might be confusing, but if you want you can call me and I will explain
it a little bit better, and if i am in not too busy i will give you a fla
that shows this.
