Thanks to both John and Grimmwerks for your replys.
Yes. I agree with you Grimmwerks -- Flash is made for vector not bitmap, and
50 HUGE jpegs is not a great idea for a screensaver -- but I didn't design
this thing, it was originally designed by another group who are PC not Mac
people, and they made a PC screensaver using another program
("Carousel-something"). Their PC version turned out fine (except for that
pesky monitor resolution problem -- you have to have your screen set to
800x600 or else it's a little chunky). They didn't know how they were going to
make the Mac screensaver, so they asked me to create it in Flash using
Screentime. I told them about the bitmap vs. jpeg problem, but this is where
we're at.
Another person also suggested using Director instead of Flash -- maybe we'll
try this route. I'm not really a Director expert or anything, but surely this
wouldn't be too hard to figure out. Hmmm...
