Along a similar vein is my favorite insipid platform redirection script.
The Microsoft site does this, and it's really annoying. If I go to their
site and am on a Mac, I am automatically directed to the Mac site. This
would be fine if there were a way to go to the PC site as well, but there
isn't.
I used to work for a college that was a 99% Mac campus, but we also had to
support a few Windows boxes in the administration. So even though I was
surfing from a Mac, I really *did* want to go to the PC content to look for
updates and fixes! But the site did the thinking for me, even though I can
think for myself. Typical Microsoft!
