I'm not sure where this thread went, or where it's going, but it sounds
like you're not aware that ***THE*** most practical XML renderer today is
Shockwave.
(The Shockwave 7 Player and later contain James Clarks' expat XML parser,
which produces Lingo lists which can then be used to drive the display.
This will work in both Netscape and Microsoft browsers, on Mac and Win...
even in Netscape 2. People don't have to switch to another browser to
manipulate XML-formatted data... just get the Shockwave Player like tens of
thousands do every single day.)
