I think you best bet is to actually use Adobe illustrator and Vector
effects. This is a simple way to get reasonable looking 3d graphics in
vector format directly. Using Illustrator to create your vectors before
putting them into Flash lets you have a whole lot more control over what you
are making. This is smart if you have some complex 3d imagery, where you
need to keep the point count low. If you do not buy that idea, here are the
best around:
Discreet 3D Studio Max www.ktx.com
Newtek Lightwave 3D (works on a mac too) www.newtek.com
McNeel Rhino 3D www.rhino3d.com
if you want to blow some serious money:
Softimage
Maya

3D Studio Max, an expensive 3D modeling and animation package with a steep
learning curve has a plug-in (I do not know what it's called) that will
convert rendered images into Flash vector graphics.
I do not use any of this software... I'm merely passing along info I've
heard.
