Hi D,

> Just wondering... what is the acceptable file size for a flash movie?
Flash streams if you design it properly.
There is a maximum rate you can deliver content at a given bandwidth.
A 28,800 modem connection allows you to push about 3K of content per
second, if you push more then there will be delays while your movie
waits for the content to load. Even at this 'slow' rate you can supply
180K in a minute and 900K in 5 minutes.
Properly designed movies of 200K, 300K and even larger should play
without problems. If you need to push more even content you might want
to break up the content and use load movie to add another movie after
the first one has loaded..

A T1 connection (1.544 Mbps) is about 50 times larger than a 28.8
connection and assuming your server and the network could push content
at that rate to users then you could supply 150K Bytes per second or a
450K file in 3 seconds.

If your movie is 900K and you require the user to download all of it
before seing content then you should expect few visitors to stay since
that is a five minute wait for a 28,800 connection and even 6 seconds at
T1 speed. Remember just having a T1 line does not guarantee T1 speed.
