Subject: | FLASH: working with imported EPS-not! |
From: | Ian Fox |

Yes, I'm new to FLASH... but I've had a lot of experience with
Illustrator, a bit with Freehand, and I understand Timelines/actions
and the basic concepts behind FLASH.
I have an illustrator sequence I need to animate, but I can't figure
out how to import the vectors in a useful format.
I know I have to back-save them to version 7, but the paint/fill
attributes get messed-up. If I try to edit them, I have shapes and
line all over the place.
I have tried to import a Freehand version, only to see the "only
imports the Illustrator EPS format" dialogue.
I know there *must* be an easy way to bring editable vectors in from
either program, and not have them fall apart, but nothing I've read
so far has shown me how.
I've been reluctant to post to the list because this is such a basic
problem, and I would have thought that one macromedia product would
support file formats of the other intuitively, which makes me think
I'm missing something. Wouldn't be the first time :)
Any and all urls appreciated.
cheers
ian
