Try using a static object like a rectangle as a mask. This will give the
effect of zooming but the object doesn't change in terms of dimension.

Subject: FLASH: Another newbie question - zoom technique
Quick question....
Are there any general rules of thumb to follow when creating a zoom
illusion.... or is it as simple as tweening the option larger....
When ever I try to make it appear to zoom in, it just looks like my object
is growing....
Any hints?
