Subject: Re: FLASH: OT: Dreamweaver UltraDev 4: What about PHP?

Just for the record, my understanding is that Dreamweaver UltraDev is every
bit as expandable as the original Dreamweaver. I believe there are third
party efforts underway to bring PHP add-ons to Dreamweaver UD (although I
can't confirm this).

As for why PHP support wasn't built into the original Dreamweaver UD? Well,
I don't know about you but most of the PHP guys I know are purists and
wouldn't be caught dead using a WYSIWYG editor for server-side scripting!
Just an observation. My guess is that Macromedia concentrated on where the
market was at the time. But, markets do change.
