Subject: RE: FLASH: "Harpoon"

I have heard a bit about it as well and am quite excited. Though the press
releases have been very vague and I am not yet sure of exactly how it works.
But from my understanding you will be able to use the look and feel of
flash with the functionality of cold fusion.

For all of you flash designers looking to learn a web language I suggest you
learn coldfusion. ColdFusion is a tag based language, and its extremely easy
to learn for HTML people. The language seems like an extension of HTML.

It seems macromedia has a great partnership going with Allaire, I think this
is because Fig Leaf is really into Coldfusion as well as other Allaire
products. Maybe some people from macromedia or Fig Leaf can elaborate on
some details of "Harpoon". I for one am would be very interested in hearing
what they have to say.

Here is the press release:

Subject: FLASH: Anybody know heard anything about "Harpoon?"

Has anybody out there seen the Allaire/Macromedia Flash toolkit referred
to as "Harpoon?" According to the press release on the Allaire Web
site, it was previewed at the Allaire Developers Conference at the
beginning of November. A public beta is supposed to be availalbe in
December. As I work quite a bit with both Cold Fusion and Flash, I am
curious regarding anybody's impressions of this product.
Thanks,
Stephen Pintauro
