FLASH 5 JUMPSTART: MAKING THE TRANSITION FROM FLASH 4 (A 1-day Workshop)


Sibyl Perkins, Flashgrrl's founder, and Marc Hoffman, instructor at the

School of Visual Concepts, are presenting a one-day course, "Flash 5

Jumpstart" on Friday, December 8 from 9-4 at the Technology Access

Foundation in Seattle. This course is especially for experienced Flash 4

users making the jump to Flash 5.


TOPICS TO BE INCLUDED

�The New Interface: Using Panels, Launcher Bar, New Timeline Techniques,

the Movie Explorer, New ActionScript Editor;

�ActionScript: Dot Syntax, Normal and Expert Modes, New Actions;

�New Features: New Drawing Tools, HTML 1.0 Support, Smart Clips, the

Date/Time Object, Hide Cursor, MP3 Audio Import, Sound Controls, Cursor

_x/y Properties;

�Flash 4 vs. Flash 5: A side-by-side comparison, including backwards

compatibility issues and known bugs in Flash 5.
