I vote against adding this feature since it has little value and can

cause many problems.

The Flash editor relies on layers for structure and separate layers are

required for all Tweening and can be very useful in allowing changes

without inadvertently increasing file size. Flattening layers can

totally destroy a Flash animation in one stroke.


In general additional layers add no size to the final .swf Flash export.
