Hi Bud,


Create without advanced Flash 3 or Flash 2 features and export from the

Flash 3 editor as Flash 1. It seems that WebTV has some Flash 2 features

such as sound and all the 1.1 Additional features. So it seems to be

more like a 1.2 version.

Normally movies exported in Flash 2 format also work OK in WebTV but

Color Tweens aren't executed and I'm told the Flash 1 .spl version will

sometimes play better on the WebTV box.


Though we sell WebTV boxes, I don't spend much time at present worrying

about how a site will look on WebTV. Basic detailed information on the

exact specs for the WebTV box are not anywhere. The only information

WebTV or MM provided was that it was Flash 1 and each said talk to the

other for more details. Access to the WebTV technical site is now open

but basic needed information about Flash and WebTV is not available.

Basic information about some of the special features used to be

available only to those who were willing to fork out about $800 for

special access.


There is need for detailed information which may have to be done by

testing.

For instasnce is there any change in the Flash compatibility between the

old boxes and the newer ones?
