John,
We use MapInfo, we don't get into the file format level. sorry
It looks like Avenza might be my way to go, but I'm still reflecting on a
Flash solution for a general-
public Web server, ie, it's gonna take a lot of time and money to put up
Flash, so how many of our visitors can really use it, and what's the delta
in gaining ease-of-use, visitor fidelity, word-of-mouth, etc vs. just
shoving out gif's?
I'd appreciate any URL's where Flash-in-GIS is used for serious results
rather than just eye candy squigglies and entertainment.
Ours is a lodging site locator application with 75000+ sites spread over
all of France. Not at all clear to me how to bring Flash, expensively,
into that situ and achieve real gains, not just gee-whiz F/X.
