If you have SoundEdit, why do you need something else to mix and create loops? A sound file is a sound file, and a loop is a sound file - it just plays over and over. You can add tracks and tracks of different source material and mix it down to mono or stereo in SoundEdit, and then import it into Flash and set Loop to 100. Acid seems to have more capability if you're really going into sound design and music making as your main thing. But if you're not, then don't overlook the tools you already have.

Have you looked into sonic foundry's Acid program its a really unique loop mixer but I don't know if theres
a mac version.I have the windows version and it seems much more interesting than rebirth.

Thanks for the response but I think I wasn't clear, I too have soundedit but
what I'm looking for is source, either stock audio or a mixxing application
that lets you mix and create your own loops from supplied source
