RE: FLASH: Building PreLoad bar

Hello Shockers & Flashers,


Please excuse my ignorance.... ( I am awaiting my first course next

month)


I am still attempting to grasp the Flash authoring environment (Actions

- TellTarget (??) v's timeline) and I was hoping if someone could do me

a favour and help me out with what I hope is a simple function I just

cant work out.


I currently have developed an animated logo (site intro) which has

synched sound etc. and operates within one flash file (.swf), however I

am having trouble assigning a preLoad functionality to it.


What I would love to have (and I assume this is how it works) is an

individual file with a small simple animation (filmloop - movieclip)

with a simple looping sound (can play on a sep layer as an event) that

operates as a preLoading time bar. When the preLoad completes its task

(loading the intro animation file) the time bar evolves to its final

state and the loaded animation file is initiated.


The hardest bit to figure out is how to assign the time bar devise to

the % of preLoad completed. Has anyone performed successfully performed

this type of preLoad?? Can someone please share their expertise and

brilliance??
