RE: FLASH: FLASH embeds don't work with IE4 Mac

Hi all 

You can not view Flash or Quicktime files  with Mac IE4 that are coded into

html which lives on your local hard drive. You must view these files after

they have been uploaded to your web server or use Microsoft Personal Web

Server. I agree with the gentelman at macromedia who called this "feature" a

bug. Unfortunately the link at Flash Central leads to a page which has

moved. The new IE4 Mac pages have no information that I can find regarding

Personal Web Server.  You must go to the download pages before you can find

any information. There still seems to be no technical information but the

download size is a prohibitive 14MB for PowerPC  Macs.


I think it would be easier to upload your site to your web server when you

need to test IE4 Mac.
