Hi Chris,

Any button is always active whether visual seen or covered by another
object. Only another button above a button will deactivate a button's
active area. The key to solving you problem is to change a button's
behavior to a graphic when you need it visible but not longer active as
a button. This is done by making a copy of the button and changing its
Instance Behavior Property under the Definition Tab.

Changing the Behavior of a Movie Clip or Button to a regular Graphic
allows you to choose which image in the button or movie clip you want
for this Graphic and disable the Movie Clip or Button Behaviour without
having to create a new symbol.

Please do not sent attachments to the List even small ones. Instead post
them to the Web and supply a URL.

Also if you are on a Mac it is better practice to .zip rather than .sea
and remember to include extension names. There shouldn't be any Mac
Flasher who doesn't have a utility and know how to download a zipped
file and extract its contents but the same is not true for most Windows
users who when confronted with a .sea or other Mac or Unix compression
system is likely to be totally lost.
