These are very attractive sites. I think the navigation schemes are
effective and intuitive, although as I'm sure you know, the moving spheres
are in very common use now for Flash navigation.

I'd recommend you speed up the transitions. Although they're pretty, these
are commercial sites and I would prioritize speed of access over pretty
transitions, since visitors are often trying to get business done efficiently.

In the first site, some of the elements shift position accidentally when
rolling from one sphere to another; not sure what the problem is, but if
need be you can learn to use the inspector tool to find the exact
coordinates of a graphic and register its other instances to the same
coordinates.

Also, you had a sphere with a gradient ( I think in the second URL) that
had a sort of a ring inside it. Sometime, play with the gradient editor (in
the palette that shows up when you click on the paint bucket and then on
the color swatch); you can make this smoother.

Not sure what you mean by "next layer." Please clarify?

If the clip contains layers, and works as a clip, I believe it should work
when dropped into, say, the "over" frame of the button. Not sure if you can
stack multiple clips in the "over" frame of the button; if that's what
you're doing, try adding one at a time and also try testing the clips by
themselves in the main timeline to see where things are failing to work.
