FLASH: Using flash off of the web.....

Hi flashers, 


      Iam developing a flash intro for a client who is releasing software on

Cd-rom. Once you install the software it will work directly from you hard

drive. How do you set flash up to interact with windows directly. For instance

after the intro there will be an enter button at the end of the intro that

takes the user into the software. How can I make this happen? Also my client

has director do you think I should learn director in order to do this intro?
