1. NEW SHOCKWAVE 7.0.2.159 PLAYER RELEASED

As promised, Macromedia has released a patch update for Shockwave 7.0.2
Player, called Shockwave 7.0.2.159 Player. Throughout August, this is what
we referred to as the Shockwave 7.0.2 Player "Phase One" Update.

Shockwave 7.0.2.159 Player specifically addresses urgent developer feedback
about the implementation of the Shockwave Remote's default settings for
visibility and floating behavior on existing Shockwave web sites. In
addition, Shockwave 7.0.2.159 Player addresses general stability issues and
resource usage on the Macintosh platform.

6. CD-ROM/FIXED MEDIA STANDALONE INSTALLERS ARE COMING SOON

Standalone Intranet and Fixed Media installers for Shockwave 7.0.2.159
Player are currently in development. Macromedia will offer these installers
for free. The installers will be completely self-contained, and as such,
will not require a connection to www.shockwave.com or www.macromedia.com in
order to execute a successful installation. No exact date has been set for
release, but we are aiming for a rapid development cycle. We will notify you
when we release the standalone installers.
