Thanks a bazillion, John. I must've tried everything BUT the right way.
Barring further deviation by my brain into the fog, I may actually have a
draft of some sort of the "stretch/rotate/diminish" template before the next
millenium. I couldn't get the scale to work clear through zero, so I flip
the character with a tell target at the right time. I think it has
something to do with the "bounce" which creates overlap of the character and
it's predecessor, so it rocks back & forth too much when just using the
XScale. Anyway, I still have to convert this "flipping" over to a variable
so they can pick which one(s) to flip. I was also using tell target for the
rotation of the leaves. I was able to convert the "# and series of
characters to rotate" to variables so the developer can select, but I may
try the rotation itself via "set properties," too. Haven't looked at that
enough to see if it is possible, but am beginning to think anything is if we
try hard enough! I have added a formula that shrinks & grows the character
based upon Y Position and takes the height of the movie as a parameter (Any
way I can Get at that property? Movie Height?) Anyway, still need to adapt
the X-Scale stretch to the Y-Scale...plus the "flipping" and the rotation if
I decide to do it...before I send for your perusal...hopefully Friday!
