When you apply the tween to the MC(1), do you get a warning message about
the tween not working? Check to see if you have another object on the same
layer; even a stray pixel will prevent motion tweening (you ARE using
motion tweening, right -- not shape tweening?). Lock all other layers, do a
Select All, deselect (shift-select) just the MC(1), and hit delete to get
rid of stray objects. Then re-create the second keyframe and try applying
the motion tween again.
Make sure that Snap is on and that the MC is locked to the motion guide at
both ends of the tween (zoom in if there's any doubt).
I recently had a symbol refuse to motion tween in Flash3. Never figured out
why, but I couldn't get it recognized as a symbol (by Inspector) even if I
dragged it in fresh from the library. Solution: I created the first
keyframe, Selected All in that layer, and hit F8 to make it a new symbol
that contained the old one.
Hope one of these ideas works for you. If the movie is buggy, you may want
to copy and paste all frames to a new movie and try it again.
