Title: RE: FLASH: 3d vector animation tool (NOW OT)
Ok, everyone should go to www.coolfun.com and download the demo of organica- mac or pc.
Full version is only $150. It is the best, simplest metaball modeler I've used.
Its trivial to create an organic shape with this tool- exports to Imagine and Lightwave object formats, rudimentary animation included.

What about Truespace? I found that to be quite the bang for the buck! And the UI is no where near as complicated as most others.

Nope, that hasn't changed, but looking at all of the other solutions people
are suggesting (except *perhaps* Max & the Vectra plug-in - which is
around 20x the price) Hash still comes out the winner as far as I can see.

You could either export each frame as DXF and go through Vectra (the
hard way) or render using the toon settings and (auto)trace in Flash.

The other thing is that both the Hash and the Flash formats are fairly
open. If the market was there, one of the third party plug-in developers
(or Hash themselves) would come out with a product that filled the need.

If you want to do 3D though, A:M is worth it anyway.
